Re: Update on Site Options

As we've said before, if anyone knows of a suitable piece of land please let us know. The chances of finding a similar sized piece is slim and for the owner to find the Park Lane site just as convenient for them, slimmer still. We do not know of such a site. We're not going to get anyone to carve th...

See my response in the other two or three places you've made the same remarks.

Re: First Funding Received

I was also at the meeting and agree that some of the projects were there to use up funds but not all. There were many very worthwhile grants awarded including for toddler facilities on the Tommy Croker field. The support of councillors was genuine. As you are know they were fully aware of the gifted...

Re: Posters

That's interesting BHH. So how do political parties get away with sticker bombing everywhere as they will no doubt soon be doing? Do these laws not apply to them?

Re: Posters

I don't think Simont is going to fox too many people - it wasn't meant to be an alias. I am Simon Tomlinson, the chair of the project committee as I'm sure you all know. I agree we should agree to disagree (excuse the tautology) before things get any more unpleasant. I only have two objectives with ...

Re: Posters

The posters we put up were simply advertising an event in the village hall which is custom and practice in the village. How many times do you want me to apologise for not making clear the proposed site? That was a mistake. I am sorry. It was not intended to mislead. And we did try to visit those in ...

Posters

I just want to put on record that I do not condone the removal of posters. I know some have been torn down by Cherhill residents angry about how misleading the objector's posters are, making no mention of the Village Hall and because they are being located at the bottom of the paths leading up to th...

Re: Is this a consultation?

You keep on about building a village hall for the future generations how about leaving some green belt for them too. As I write this I'm imagining the replies that I'm being complacent etc but people who think that the countryside is about to be covered in concrete don't understand the statistics. ...

Re: Is this a consultation?

I said on the open evening we made a mistake not putting the site on the questionnaire. We realised that soon after sending out the questionnaires. I'm really sorry we're not perfect. It was not intended to mislead. As the rumour mill and misinformation has gathered pace we have had to involve Andre...

Re: Totally wrong site for New Village Hall

Cherhillres, you make it sound like Park Lane has not changed since medieval times. It has changed with new houses and garages being built just in the last few years. Did you object to those? You may be right about planning not being granted on that site but if it is it will not be because of the re...
